Education Matters

Education is very important. It is a gateway to a successful life. People with higher education generally have bigger incomes, bigger homes, nicer cars, but it is more than just material goods. Education allows you to have an advantage over those who do not have one. The more knowledge people have, the bigger their world seems to get. Knowing more and being exposed to more creates an opportunity to better understand the world they are living in. Someone with more education can watch the news and more than likely learn more from it than someone who does not. To get a job that does not involve working at a fast food establishment or any other low wage business, one must have a college degree. It is getting harder and harder to find just an average job that was once so easily found. Is that a challenge set to get to people to go to school and get an education? It very well could be. Not to say that people who do not have the opportunity to go college or the one’s with low wage jobs are “stupid”, but for them life is harder because now they are having to work twice as hard to get by and make ends meet. People who have the opportunity to go to college and take it do not have to struggle as much to make financial ends meet.  On the other hand, everyone who goes to college may not receive the paycheck they thought they would get, but it is still better than those who do not get an education. With this in mind going college may not be the easiest financially, mentally, or emotionally, but in the end more people come out on top and it is worth it. - Lauren Moore

  1. I absolutely agree. Education is extremely important. Like you said it does allow you to have a advantage over the people who don't have one. Because when you do have a education its easier to accomplish things because you have the confidence in knowing you know what your doing and talking about. Also i think it is best to start kids in school at a very young age. -jessi

  2. I completely agree with this post. Education is the key to success. Taking the time to get a quality education pays off in the end. People with a higher education have a better chance at finding a good job than a person with a high school degree. People that have this mind set can only raise their intelligence and challenge them to reach their full potential. -Katie Staggs

  3. I completely agree that yes education does matter. With an education you can end up with a successful career and life. Knowledge comes with an education and with knowledge you can do just about anything you set your mind to. College is a great experience in several ways, but the main one being education and learning more than you already know. You learn something new every day whether you realize it or not. In the long run, having an education is definitely worth the stress and being constantly busy and focused. It will definitely pay off.

  4. I completely agree that Education matters. With an education you are better prepared for things going on in the world. You can make a better life for youself, and your family if you choose to have one. Without an education in this day and age you cant do anything. Yes, with being educated comes a lot of stress and a lot of time but in the long run you will only thank yourself, by having a better life and by making something of yourself and being the person you can be proud of.

  5. I fully agree that education matters. There are people that do not intend on ever going to college, that is trully their own fault. Education can make peoples life a lot easier, if they would just try. Going to school to in the long run to get a job is an excellent decision. People should want to better themselves and make a difference in the community.

  6. Education does matter. We sometimes do not realize how blessed we are to have the opportunity to get an education. We complain about getting up early and the amount of homework and exams we have, but there are some people in the world who would give anything to be able to go to school. We are very blessed to live in a country where we have the opportunity to get an education.

  7. Education does matter. Uneducated people are not capable of making the same descisions educated people make. In the United States public education is free and it is required. However some people drop out of school as soon as possible. People in other countries dream of having and education. Education matters because it is a way for people to better themselves.

  8. I agree with what Lauren is saying in this post. Education matters and can help shape a persons life. Education helps to open so many doors and opportunities for a person. While education does take time and patience in the end the outcome is astonishing. It is such a vital thing to pursue, especially in our generation where the job market is small.

  9. I agree with everyone else that education is extremely important. With the economy the way it is, having a good education is key. People can no longer get a job that pays good straight out of high school any more. Now, the person who graduates highest has the best chance to get a good job.

  10. Education is all that seperates us from another dark age. Education instills the knowledge that we use to advance our society and eliminate the problems we face. Without education we would be clueless how to solve the obsticales of disease and war. It would also halt the production of new technology that would benefit mankind. Education matters to the world.

  11. Without education we would not be as advanced as we are. I have a great deal of respect for our teachers. Like many other people have previously said, whether we are educated or not has a big impact on the jobs we can receive and the money we can make.
