Racism is a characteristic of some people that should be long gone.
Mostly Southern raised Americans participate in this act of racism. Racism is
not necessarily always against African Americans; it can be against any person being
such as people from Mexico or another country. Racism should not be tolerated
in any part of the world. Many Americans do discriminate against people just
because of their race, religion, or even where they are from. People have just
created a stereotype of black people being criminal or of lower class. Racism
should not be a problem in today’s society. America needs to be more mature

I agree that racism should be long gone. Racism is just wrong and like discrimination, it is just someone's opinions. No matter if you are black, white or any other race, we are all the same. We are just human beings and no we do not think alike. There are so many different types of religions because no human is the same as another. It should not matter where we come from, but where we are going. I truly hope that racism will be a thing of the past someday in the future.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with this blog post. The way I see it is we are all equal. I wish more people could accept that and just move on. The world would be a much better place. Just because someone has different color skin or a different religious background does not make you any better than them. I hope racism stops all together one day. Wishful thinking.
ReplyDeleteThe truth is we are all different inside and out believe it or not. Each and every one of us is unique in our own special way. Racism has been an 'issue' for quite some time. We should be able to voice our opinion whenever we see fit. Some will get their feelings hurt, but hey that is life. Let us get real, racism will always be an issue.
ReplyDeleteRacism is a horrible thing. Although not everybody around us think and feel the same way we do about certain issues. Racism will always be a problem in our society, all we can do is try to help encourage people to be open minded to others. Everybody is equal no matter what your skin color is or your religion.
ReplyDeleteRacism is a very ignorant thing. To believe that you are better than someone else because of where you were born or what you look like is just plain stupid. But in reality we are one of the very few nations that is realizing racism is wrong. It has been around for thousands of years and has become human nature to like those who are similar to you and shun those who are different. To defeat racism throughout the world, we must first defeat human nature and evolve into a mindset of human equality.
ReplyDeleteI agree also that racism is a very horrible thing. We are all the same no matter what color someone's skin is or anything like that. People need to move on and see past that to see the greater person that is right there.
ReplyDeleteEven though I agree that racism is horrible and should be exiled, it will never be fully eliminated. It is a natural trait to be more accepting of people who look more like yourself and simple minded people will keep this trait. If racism were eliminated, we would be able to progress so much faster and not be held up on social rights. But first, we must evolve mentally and erase these traits from the human race completely, and that will take time.
